Willis Towers Watson said an updated version of its compensation planning software is available for implementation. The new release includes a custom compensation field that expands their ability to configure complex expressions to satisfy different types of business use cases, and also improves its base pay proration functionality with streamlined setup and options to prorate recommended amounts and budgets. It also has configurable individual views, so administrators have more control over how information is presented to managers.

HCM Technology Report News RoundupWorkforce Magazine released its list of the world’s top companies for HR. Salesforce.com (30,000 employees led the list, followed by Delta Airlines (80,000 employees), Bain & Co. (8,000), Ultimate Software (4,000) and Facebook (25,000). In addition to Ultimate, other involved in HR technology included Google (80,000 employees), SAP (86,000), Microsoft (126,000), Paylocity (2,300), Paychex (13,900) and ADP (59,000). Toronto-based MaRS Discovery District, which calls itself one of the world’s largest urban innovation hubs, received $1 million in funding from Google.org, Google’s philanthropic arm, to create an “Employment Pathway Platform.” Expected to launch in 2019, the platform will be designed to help workers develop a strategy for establishing a career or transitioning to a new one. How? By pulling together data skills and training options from multiple sources, then analyzing a user’s existing skills and employment preferences against them. MaRS wants to partner with Toronto’s artificial intelligence community to collaboratively design the technology behind the platform.

Employee-engagement company Limeade announced a collaboration with Microsoft at the Microsoft Build 2018 Developer Conference in Seattle. Limeade will now use Microsoft Graph to integrate data insights from Microsoft Office 365 and connect to applications like Outlook and Microsoft Teams “to support the employee experience.” By leveraging Microsoft Graph APIs, Limeade will review the schedule, habits and analytics of an employee’s daily work, join it with data from the employer’s well-being program, recommend relevant well-being activities, and find and schedule time in an employee’s Outlook calendar to complete them.

SyncStream Solutions introduced ACA Audit, an Affordable Care Act compliance tool that helps organizations and advisors anticipate and respond to IRS audits around ACA reporting. ACA Audit works either as an extension of the company’s existing ACA reporting tools or as a standalone product. It analyzes past filings and automates customizable IRS response letters to aid employers as well as brokers, CPAs, attorneys, consultants and other trusted advisors.

UK-based HCM technology provider Lumesse introduced its Partner Marketplace, a dedicated microsite that provides an overview of third-party tools and services that can be integrated into its existing talent acquisition suites. The site allows Lumesse customers to browse partner apps by product category or search function, and provides each partner with listings that detail its products. The marketplace also allows customers to request additional apps and for provides an avenue for prospective partners to investigate working with the company.

ARBA Retail Systems launched a self-service web app/employee portal to augment its flagship ArbaRapidPay with self-service options including online ordering, enrollment, account blockage and account profiles. The Naperville, Ill., company offers Microsoft Azure Cloud services for hospital cafeterias and gift shops, corporate cafeterias and employee stores, retail franchises, and colleges and universities.

Acendre announced the Acendre Partner Cloud, which provides customers and HR tech integrators with access to the company’s APIs. The company said this will simplify the interoperability between its products and other solutions, and will help customers consolidate and integrate their HR infrastructure.

Hiring and onboarding solutions provider Efficient Forms established a strategic partnership with Ban-Koe Companies, which develops workforce management and workplace security software. The relationship will allow Ban-Koe to bring extended onboarding services to its customers, the companies said.

PDS released version 7.0.1 of its Vista platform. The company said that the update includes new services that enhance learning plans and recruiting capabilities, among other things.
