Consolidation’s afoot in the market for video interviewing as the number of companies that use the technology stagnates, reports TLNT. Greg Rokos, who founded GreenJobInterview and recently sold it to Montage, said the increasing availability of free two-way video services may be impacting the use of the specially designed platforms like Montage.
SAP plans to gather SuccessFactor’s separate modules into a unified suite, SuccessFactors Senior Vice President of Product Amy Wilson told ASUGNews at the recent SuccessConnect gathering in Las Vegas. In addition to integrating the suite, Wilson said, “We are going to be working really hard to protect our mission, to eliminate distractions and really be able to execute these things: GDPR [general data protection regulation], HANA migration and optimization and suite reporting and analytics.”
Only 21 percent of small business owners have faith in their company’s ability to keep up with HR compliance, according to a study by Paychex. When it comes to core HR functions they’re the least confident about onboarding (38 percent), employee handbooks (36 percent) and background checks (26 percent).
In case anyone needs convincing that HR is increasing its use of technology across the board, Digital Journal has posted a three-part series that lays out the trends. The money quote comes from Ben Eubanks, principal analyst at Lighthouse Research & Advisory: “86 percent of companies implementing technological solutions have experienced benefits or payback from their human resources technology within 12 months.”
People moves: Karen Hebert-Maccaro, Ph.D., became O’Reilly Media’s first Chief Content Officer, responsible for developing the learning resources on the company’s Safari platform. She was previously CLO athenahealth. Piyum Samaraweera also joined the company as vice president of product management, while Freedom Dumlao was hired as vice president of Engineering.
